The Coffee’s Story
The farmer of this specialty-grade coffee lives very high up in the mountains of Jinotega, Nicaragua. Due to their altitude, their coffee is harvested a full two months after the rest of the country’s coffee. This slow maturity of the beans allows them to collect more nutrients, producing more complex cupping notes.

Thanks to direct trade, this farmer and his family have invested into improving their truck used to get coffee from the mountain down into the valley for sun-drying. They have also installed and expanded solar power on their home, improved their roof and workers’ housing, and improved their coffee processing equipment and infrastructure. This coffee is grown around 1350-1470 m.

Tasting Notes:
Cherry, Juicy, Red Apple, Red Wine, Sweet
Medium Body

Processing:
Washed, Sun-dried
